Biography

Overview

Janina is a commercial litigation associate in White & Case's Dispute Resolution Group based in London. She advises clients in high-value, complex and cross-border commercial disputes before the English Courts, in international arbitrations and mediations. 

Janina has a particular interest in ESG and Business & Human Rights. She co-leads the Firm's global ESG&S Associates Working Group and sits on the Firm's Business & Human Rights Core Team. She was also the Firm's first "ESG trainee" after she pitched for the creation of the seat. Janina has advised on matters relating to existing and emerging environmental and human rights reporting and due diligence frameworks, as well as litigation risk associated with participating in the voluntary carbon markets. Janina has written and presented on a range of ESG&S and B&HR topics, and has lectured on global trends in climate change disputes.

Janina is committed to pro bono, and has worked on international pro bono and social justice projects in Poland and South Africa.

Janina joined White & Case from another leading law firm in August 2020, where she gained experience in the Capital Markets (Securitisation), Finance, and Fintech practices. Janina was seconded to her former firm's contentious Competition and Intellectual Property team in Brussels, and completed a client secondment at one of the world's largest Private Banks. 

Prior to legal practice, Janina worked at the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg; specialising in Foreign Affairs, Security & Defence and Human Rights.
