Overview
James Wilkes is an associate in the Firm's global real estate industry group based in London.
James is a corporate lawyer and advises on real estate focused transactions, and has experience a wide variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, minority / majority structured investments, group reorganizations and corporate governance matters.
Before joining White & Case, James was an associate in the Corporate M&A team of a leading UK law firm, where he also trained.

Fenwick – Adivising Fenwick, the UK retailer on the sale of one of its national department stores located on New Bond Street in central London.
Refinitiv – Advising Refinitiv and coordinating a multi-jurisdictional intra-group reorganisation prior to its $27bn sale from Blackstone and Thompson Reuters to LSEG.*
Charme Capital Partners – Advising Charme Capital Partners and Livingbridge on the sale of the Witherslack Group to Mubadala.*
Standard Life Aberdeen – Advising Standard Life Aberdeen on a joint venture with Investcorp to raise and manage an infrastructure fund in the middle east.*
GHO Capital – Advising GHO Capital on the auction sale of a majority stake of Quotient Sciences to Permira.*
Inspecs Group plc – Advising designer, manufacturer and distributor of eyewear frames, Inspecs Group plc, on its £140m IPO on London Stock Exchange’s AIM market.*
Golden Sachs – advising Golden Sachs on the sale of the multiple fund interests across two fund to Three Hills Capital Partners simultaneously.*
Private Equity Portfolio Companies – advising various private equity portfolio companies on equity injections, Intra Company loan restructurings and the appointment and removal of management.*
