Biography

Overview

James is an associate in the Firm's Private Equity Group and focuses on private equity acquisitions and equity investments. He has experience in a broad range of corporate transactions, including private equity, international M&A, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.

James joined the private equity team in June 2019 having trained at White & Case, and having spent six months on secondment in the Firm's Corporate M&A team in the Hong Kong office.

Actis on the carve-out and acquisition of Telekom Srbija's towers business, comprising approximately 1,800 macro towers across Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro.

A.P. Møller Capital on its acquisition of Vector Logistics, a cold storage business in South Africa.

Agthia Group on its acquisition of Al Faysal Bakery and Sweets Company W.L.L..

ATP Media on its establishment of a joint venture structure with the ATP Tennis Tour for the exploitation and monetisation of certain data licensing arrangements in tennis.

Johnson Matthey on the disposal of its chromatographic resin producing Finnish subsidiary.

Dubai-headquartered PE investor in connection with their investment in a petroleum business engaged in oil refining and the sale of petroleum.

The Smithfield Group (as the investment manager of the Fairfield Partnership) on its sale of Innovia (a specialist label, packaging and security supplier) to CCL Industries, a listed Canadian corporate.
