Biography
Overview
Iesha Nunes is an associate in the Firm's Commercial Litigation Group, based in Miami. She represents multinational technology companies in international high-stakes disputes and advises on global regulatory developments that impact their businesses and products. Her practice focuses on issues such as data protection, privacy, and security.
Specifically, Iesha has advised a major tech company on managing and avoiding the disclosure of sensitive user data in response to requests from regulators, courts, and private litigants in the civil and criminal arenas. Similarly, she has also helped a major tech company develop internal policies and procedures in response to new legal obligations governing the disclosure of user data.
Iesha has also represented clients at both the trial and appellate level in state and federal court in areas including general commercial litigation, appeals, internal investigations, white-collar defense, antitrust litigation, and class action defense.
Consistent with the Firm's support for pro bono work as a core value, Iesha maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on policing, prisoner rights, and other civil rights claims. She was awarded the White & Case Access to Justice Award in 2018 and the White & Case Pro Bono Award in 2020 and 2021.
Iesha previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul C. Huck, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida. She was also seconded to a major social media company as law enforcement and data security counsel.
