Biography
Overview
Hsin-Yi is an associate in the Project Development and Finance Group based in New York. Her practice focuses on advising lenders, borrowers and project sponsors on the development, acquisition and financing of energy and infrastructure projects in the US. She has recent experience on numerous renewable energy and emerging technology transactions involving US federal incentives and related bespoke arrangements.
Prior to law school, Hsin-Yi served for five years as legislative staff in the U.S. Senate, including as a national security aide handling defense, energy, technology, and trade issues for members of the Finance and Armed Services Committees.

Representation of US DOE on its US$6.57 billion financing for the construction of the Rivian EV manufacturing facility in Georgia.
Representation of lenders on a back-leverage portfolio financing of seventy-eight community solar projects in Illinois and Maryland.
Representation of TotalEnergies on a tax equity financing for its 405 MW Hill Solar project in Texas.
Representation of a lender on a US$100 million secured mezzanine financing for the development, construction and operation of a fuel cell and thermal loop project in Connecticut and community solar projects, behind-the-meter solar and storage projects and microgrid projects within the US.
Representation of KKR on an up US$250 million financing to Peregrine Energy Solutions for equipment, interconnection and offtake credit security to support the growth of its renewable energy and storage portfolio throughout the US, which spans five ISOs and 11 states with approximately 37 projects.
