Fernanda Rea
Biography
Overview
Fernanda's practice has focused primarily on administrative law, class actions, commercial and constitutional law, including, among other sectors, consultation and litigation in consumer protection, regulatory, telecommunications, transparency and damages matters.
Her experience includes advising multinational technology and pharmaceutical companies on investigations and regulatory proceedings related to privacy, damages, consumer protection and objective responsibility claims.
Prior to joining White & Case, Fernanda worked at a prestigious Mexican Law firm specializing in administrative and commercial law.
Fernanda has also participated in different pro bono matters.

Damages
Fernanda participated in the defense of the families of the victims of the collapse of a school caused by the earthquake of September 2017 in Mexico City, obtaining an agreement with the government authorities to compensate the families;
Administrative Law, 2020
Fernanda defended several public health sector physicians during the COVID-19 pandemic, so that the Mexican government would provide them with the necessary resources to care for patients with the disease without putting their health at risk; and

She also participated in the defense of a leading company in the telecommunications sector, to combat through the amparo trial the imposition of a fine by the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) in the matter of economic competition, obtaining a reduction of this fine.
