Biography
Overview
Enrique is a member of the Firm's EU competition law practice since June 2024.
Enrique advises clients on all aspects of European, Spanish and international antitrust/competition law, with a particular focus on State Aid / Foreign Subsidies, merger control, abuse of dominance and regulatory matters.
Enrique has experience across a broad range of industries, including technology, energy, transport, fashion, and telecoms.
Prior to joining White & Case, Enrique worked for another leading international law firm in Brussels for several years, where he was involved in a number of high-profile antitrust cases.
Experience
Advising HHI on its appeal litigation before the General Court against the EU prohibition decision of its contemplated acquisition of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.*
Advising a Sovereign Wealth Fund, several US tech companies, private equity funds and industrial clients on various strategic competition and regulatory issues in connection with the Foreign Subsidies Regulation.*
Advising Fashion company Tapestry on merger control and foreign subsidies aspects in the planned US$8.5 billion acquisition of Capri Holdings.*
Advising MGM in its US$9 billion acquisition by Amazon.*
Advising a US tech company on various strategic competition and regulatory issues in connection with the Digital Markets Act.*
Advising Singapore Airlines Cargo and Singapore Airlines (SQ) on its appeal before the General Court and the European Court of Justice of the re-adopted European Commission fining decision in the Air Cargo cartel.*
Advising a major semiconductor company in an abuse of dominance investigation by the European Commission and several other competition authorities.*
Advising The Carlyle Group on acquiring:*
- A majority stake in Garnica Group, a Spain-based manufacturer of premium plywood solutions;
- Altadia, a leading Spanish ceramic products manufacturer.
One Rock Capital Partners on the acquisition of Constantia Flexibles, a leading global packaging manufacturer, from the investment firm Wendel.*
