Biography
Overview
Daniel is a Debt Finance associate based in the Firm's Dubai office. Daniel has experience in corporate finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance, Islamic finance and restructuring. He has advised borrowers (corporate and sovereign) and lenders in both emerging and developed markets.
Experience
Representation of the borrower in connection with AED 17 billion (US$4.6 billion) Islamic and conventional facilities for the purpose of a refinancing and new money funding for significant real estate development assets.
Representation of Gulf International Bank and Bank Muscat in connection with a SAR 326.1 million (US$86.7 million) contract financing for Shapoorji Pallonji.
Representation of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in relation to a program of bilateral sovereign loans extended to support the establishment of in-country, on-lending platforms for micro, small and medium entrepreneurial projects incorporating various ESG principles in countries across Africa.
Representation of FIVE Holdings (BVI) Limited as the company in relation to a US$200,000,000 revolving credit, entered into between amongst others, Commercial Bank of Dubai PSC and Arab International Bank in connection with the launch of the Company’s inaugural green bond.
Representation of Banque Saudi Fransi and Bank Albilad in connection with a SAR1.8 billion Islamic murabaha facility to a special purpose vehicle under a private fund structure managed by SNB Capital to finance land acquisition and development of a real estate project in Riyadh to be sold off-plan under the WAFI Law.
Representation of a leading UAE Bank in connection with the proposed AED2 billion (USD545 million) senior secured revolving credit facility to be entered into by a subsidiary of a regional sovereign wealth fund.
