Overview

Chris advises on the development of major infrastructure and energy projects, with particular focus in the renewables, power and transport sectors.

Chris has acted for independent power producers, sponsors and financiers in relation to the development of energy storage, wind, solar and ammonia/urea projects in Asia and Australia, and for the private and public sector in respect of the development of major transport infrastructure.

Infrastructure

  • Advising the Victorian Government on the structuring and development of the Suburban Rail Loop Project, including tunnelling packages, alliance agreements and managing contractor arrangements.
  • Advising Perdaman on the development of the AUD6.2 billon Burrup Urea Plant, including all development contracts, offtake agreements, supply contracts, port arrangements and indigenous corporation agreements.
  • Advising Downer EDI Rail on the AUD4.6 billion Queensland Train Manufacturing Program.
  • Advising the Victorian Government in relation to the AUD11 billion Metro Tunnel Project in Victoria, Australia.
  • Advising an equity investor in relation to the development of the Sydney Light Rail project.

Renewables

  • Advising a project company in relation to the development and restructuring of the delivery of the Lincoln Gap Wind Farm.
  • Acting for Cubico Sustainable Investments on the acquisition of Wambo Wind Farm.
  • Acting for Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition of interests in various Japanese wind projects.
  • Advising AMP Energy in relation to the acquisition and development of the Molong Solar Farm and Hillston Solar Farm.
  • Advising a project company in relation to the development of the 240 MW Ararat Wind Farm in Victoria, Australia.
  • Advising a project company in relation to the development of the Willogoleche Wind Farm in South Australia.
  • Acting for RWE on the potential acquisition of an Australian Wind Farm.
  • Advising Neoen in relation to various offtake agreements, including government owned corporation offtakers.
  • Advising Tag Energy in relation to various offtake arrangements, including in relation to offtake agreements with Snowy Hydro and Equinix.
  • Advising Canadian Solar on the development of various solar farms.
  • Advising Neoen in relation to the development of the Numurkah Solar Farm in Victoria.
