Overview
Charles is an associate in our global M&A and Corporate practice and a member of the Private Equity team.
Charles advises corporate clients, private equity funds and financial institutions on a broad range of corporate transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, disposals, joint ventures, equity investments and co-investments.
Experience
Representative experience includes:
International Resources Holding on the USD$1.2bn acquisition of Mopani Copper Mines in Zambia.
Actis on the acquisition of a newly carved-out tower portfolio from leading European telecommunications operator Telekom Srbija.
EIG Partners on the proposed A$18.4 billion acquisition of Origin Energy by scheme of arrangement in consortium with Brookfield.
Atmos Renewables on the acquisition of the 90 MWac Karadoc Solar Farm from BayWa r.e.
Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd on a joint venture with Ford Motor Company and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk to invest in a High-Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) Project in Indonesia. The transaction was shortlisted for the M&A Deal of the Year by ALB Indonesia Law Awards 2023.
Neoen on the development and A$160M project financing of the 300MW/ 450MWh Victorian Big Battery in Victoria, Australia.
Syndicate of lenders to ACCIONA on the 2023 A$1.098 billion financing of the 1,026 MW MacIntyre Wind Farm.
