Biography
Overview
Bryony is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution group in Sydney. Bryony has a broad practice covering both commercial litigation and international arbitration, with a particular focus on the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors.
Bryony has represented clients in arbitrations conducted under the rules of the major arbitral institutions. She is also experienced in advising clients on litigation and arbitration-related matters before the English and Australian courts (including the NSW and Victorian Supreme Courts and Federal Court). Bryony also advises clients on settlement of disputes and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm in Sydney, Bryony was an associate in the Dispute Resolution team in White & Case's London office.

Representative matters include:
Advising the Republic of India in litigation in the Federal Court of Australia, asserting sovereign immunity against recognition and enforcement proceedings brought by Investors alleging an entitlement to enforce high value ICC arbitral awards.
Advising an equity vehicle in NSW Supreme Court proceedings concerning the installation of non-conforming aluminium composite panels at a site in NSW.
Advising a client in proceedings before the Victorian Supreme Court concerning a claim for injunctive relief.
Representing an employer in ICC arbitration proceedings concerning a US$ multi-billion LNG project in Australia.
Advising an employer on claims relating to the design, construction and operation of data centres within the APAC region.
Advising a project company in relation to claims arising from multi-billion USD contracts for a construction project in the Middle East.
Representing the claimant in a DIFC-LCIA arbitration concerning an oilfield services company operating in the Arabian Gulf.
Representing a company in multiple LCIA arbitrations concerning claims in excess of USD 800 million arising from the sale of a telecommunications company in Eastern Europe.
Representing the lead partner of an international consortium of contractors in an ICC arbitration arising from the termination of a FIDIC Silver Book contract relating to the design, construction and commissioning of a commuter railway.
Representing an arbitration award debtor in two sets of proceedings before the English courts to challenge an arbitration award under s67 and s68 Arbitration Act 1996.
