Amanda Woodall
Biography
Overview
Amanda Woodall is an associate in the Firm's Intellectual Property group based in the Houston office. She has extensive intellectual property law experience, from litigation to counseling clients on product clearance and portfolio management for technologies in the electrical, computer systems, telecommunications, chemical, mechanical and device fields. She has represented clients in litigation matters before the International Trade Commission, at the Federal Circuit, and in numerous federal and state courts across the United States. In addition to her experience managing IP litigation matters, she has extensive experience in IP damages law and remedies, market analysis, and damages mitigation.
She also has solid experience in trademark prosecution, counseling and litigation, copyright matters, IP licensing and commercial litigation relating to the Internet, software, and contractual disputes.
Prior to joining White & Case, Ms. Woodall was a legal and business strategy consultant for a stealth-mode start-up in the healthcare and longevity space advising them on their IP, business, and fundraising strategies. Prior to this, Amanda was an intellectual property partner at another international law firm, where she served as Deputy Department Head of the intellectual property department in the firm's Houston office; she was responsible for managing associate work and development, evaluations, mentoring, and communications to instill confidence, promote morale, and prompt the associates to plan for their future success at the firm. She also served as a member of the firm's Employment Committee for several years, where she was responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recruiting highly-qualified and diverse law students. As chair of the firm's Enterprising Women's Series in Houston, she helped to promote networking among female business leaders and counsel.
