Global law firm White & Case LLP continues to expand its Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency (FRI) Practice in Chicago with the addition of new partner Gregory Pesce.
"Greg is an experienced, highly qualified restructuring lawyer with deep expertise in the energy sector," said Thomas Lauria, Global Head of White & Case's FRI Practice. "He's going to be a great fit with our rapidly growing team and will further advance our strategy to expand our debtor-side work."
Pesce's practice involves representing oil & gas companies, sophisticated corporate debtors, investors and other key parties in highly complex restructuring cases and transactions. Pesce also regularly counsels a number of private equity (PE) and investment fund clients with respect to both in and out of court transactions involving distressed assets and investments, and corporate governance matters.
Pesce joins the Firm from Kirkland & Ellis, where he spent his entire career, and most recently served as a partner in its Restructuring Group.
"Adding Greg is a key component to continue growing our on-the-ground presence in Chicago and to provide world-class expertise in financial restructuring, M&A, financing and litigation," said Eugene Leone, Executive Partner of White & Case's Chicago office. "He is the fifth lateral partner to join our growing Chicago office over the last nine months."
"As our FRI practice continues to thrive and grow, we are thrilled to continue to add talented lawyers such as Greg," added Lauria.
The addition of Pesce to White & Case's Global FRI Practice follows the arrival of two creditor-side partners: Keith Wofford and Stephen Moeller-Sally, who joined in December 2020, and four debtor-side partners: Jessica Boelter, Bojan Guzina, Michael Andolina and Andrew O'Neill, who joined the Firm in October 2020. This group of experienced lawyers demonstrates White & Case's commitment to growing its capabilities in all aspects of financial restructuring.
