Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Commercial Litigation Practice with the addition of Melissa Taylormoore as a partner in Washington, DC—marking the sixth lateral partner arrival for the practice since the beginning of the year.
"Melissa is skilled in managing litigation and compliance matters relating to government contracts and the related regulatory regimes, as well as statutory-based claims involving the False Claims Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act," said Glenn Kurtz, Head of White & Case's Global Commercial Litigation Practice. "As the value of government contracting rises and the regulatory requirements increase, we expect an uptick in fraud, investigations, voluntary disclosures, whistleblowing and related litigation. Melissa's expertise will add to our strength in helping our clients navigate these complex legal and strategic business matters."
Taylormoore has experience managing and driving key business initiatives across 20 different countries, including leading diligence for mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, crisis response, regulatory and trade compliance, cross-border investigations, domestic and international labor and employment matters, government and commercial contracting and internal audits.
"Melissa's practice and experience counseling organizations and business leaders further enhances our Global Commercial Litigation Practice," said Jim Robinson, White & Case's Regional Section Head of the Americas Commercial Litigation. "Her arrival will enhance our government contracts capabilities in the United States and globally, and we're excited for her to join the team."
Taylormoore's arrival follows the Global Commercial Litigation Practice's additions of Sean Gorman, Chris Dodson and Andrew Zeve in the Firm's Houston office in January; Brienne Letourneau in the Firm's Chicago office in May; and Hope Anderson in the Firm's Los Angeles office in May.
