Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Valmet, the leading global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries, on its acquisition of PMP Group, a Polish provider of technologies and services for the paper industry.
Headquartered in Espoo, Finland, Valmet has more than 13,000 professionals globally. Its strong technology offering includes pulp mills, tissue, board and paper production lines, as well as power plants for bioenergy production. Valmet is listed on the Nasdaq Helsinki.
Headquartered in Jelenia Góra, Poland, PMP Group supplies process technologies and services for tissue, board and paper machines globally, focusing on small and medium-sized tissue machines and board and paper machine rebuilds. The net sales of the group were approximately €70 million in the fiscal year 2019. The group employs approximately 650 people, the majority of whom are located in Poland and the rest in China, USA and Italy.
