Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Starship Technologies, a leading provider of autonomous delivery services, on a new Series B funding round led by the Japanese-Nordic VC firm NordicNinja and Taavet+Sten from Estonia.
Other investors in the Series B funding include TDK Ventures and Goodyear. It will help Starship Technologies further scale and meet increasing demand for its autonomous delivery service by launching in new cities in North America and Europe.
Launched in 2014 by Skype co-founders Ahti Heinla and Janus Friis, San Francisco-headquartered Starship Technologies operates in several cities across the world and completes tens of thousands of autonomous deliveries every day.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partners Sandra Rafferty (London) and Gary Silverman (Chicago) and included local partner David Smith (Frankfurt), associate Helen Pantelides (London) and international attorney Tamar Gogiberidze (Frankfurt).
