White & Case Advises the Sole Bookrunner in RedBall Acquisition Corp.'s US$500 Million IPO

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Goldman Sachs as the sole bookrunner in RedBall Acquisition Corp.'s US$500 million initial public offering of units. RedBall is special purpose acquisition company (a SPAC) formed by sports industry veterans that intends to target businesses in the sports, media and data analytics sectors, with a focus on professional sports franchises. RedBall's units will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "RBAC.U."
RedBall is led by Co-Chairman Gerald Cardinale, the founder and managing partner of RedBird Capital Partners, a private investment firm which has holdings in and partnerships with several professional sports leagues, teams and media businesses; Co-Chairman Billy Beane, the executive vice president of baseball operations and former general manager for the Oakland Athletics; and Chief Executive Officer Alec Scheiner, a partner at RedBird Capital Partners and a former executive for the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns.
