White & Case Advises Peninsula Capital on Acquisition of Stake in Isola dei Tesori

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised independent UK investment firm Peninsula Capital on its acquisition, through an investment vehicle jointly controlled by Peninsula and Azimut Libera Impresa SGR S.p.A., of a 75 per cent stake in D.M.O. Pet Care s.r.l., a leading Italian pet food and care retail chain founded in 2000 by the Celeghin family and operating under the brand 'Isola dei Tesori'.
Azimut Libera Impresa acted on behalf of investment fund 'Demos 1', the first closed-end private equity fund created for the retail sector.
The transaction involves the share control acquisition of D.M.O. Pet Care by Peninsula and Azimut. The Celeghin family and certain managers of the company will retain a minority stake. The transaction aims to continue the company's strategic development the success story of the founding family, which will ensure operational continuity.
