Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Ocorian, the Inflexion-backed global trust and administration business, on its acquisition of Newgate Compliance, an FCA regulated UK-based compliance solutions provider.
"The acquisition strengthens Ocorian's service offering to asset managers that operate in the regulated UK market, enabling Ocorian to provide end-to-end administration services and a suite of compliance and regulatory services," said White & Case partner Ashley Ballard, who co-led the Firm’s deal team. "It is our first transaction for Ocorian since advising it on its merger with Estera earlier in the year, and we look forward to continuing to expand our relationship with the Ocorian team as the business continues to grow."
Ocorian is an awarding-winning global provider of trust, administration and fiduciary services for companies, institutions, individuals and funds across the world, operating from 20 key locations.
Founded in 2014, Newgate Compliance provides compliance consulting services that leverage the GATEway, a proprietary software solution that enables clients to track and meet their FCA regulatory obligations efficiently, as well as to comply with the spirit, principles and culture of the UK regulatory regime.
