Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Mid Europa Partners (Mid Europa) on the sale of Knjaz Miloš, the largest producer of mineral water and energy drinks on the Serbian market, to Karlovarské minerální vody (KMV) and PepsiCo International (PepsiCo).
Mid Europa acquired Knjaz Miloš in 2015 together with Imlek and Bambi, the leading regional dairy and confectionary companies, respectively, forming the consumer group Moji Brendovi.
"This transaction is the latest in our ongoing relationship with Mid Europa, following our role advising on the sale of Bambi earlier this year," said White & Case partner Ken Barry, who co-led the deal team. "It is further evidence of the strength of our capabilities and our successful track record advising on private equity deals in Central & Eastern Europe."
The transaction is subject to customary competition authority clearance and is expected to close in Q3 2019.
The White & Case team in London that advised on the transaction was led by partners Ian Bagshaw and Ken Barry, with support from associates Will Summers and Jean Renaldy.
