Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised France's leading insurtech company Luko on its acquisition of Coya, a German insurtech company.
The transaction, which will complete in the coming weeks, will allow Luko to rely on Coya's expertise as a European insurer regulated by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) to enter the largest European insurance market, supporting Luko's ambition to become the leading insurtech company in Europe, with more than 300,000 customers.
Coya will be renamed Luko Insurance AG and will become the insurance platform for all of the Group's European subsidiaries, which operate under the Luko brand in each market.
