White & Case advises lenders on financing for Sofidel acquisition of CLW Tissue

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the lenders on the financing for the acquisition by Sofidel, a manufacturer of paper for hygienic and domestic use, of CLW Tissue, the tissue business of Clearwater Paper Corporation, a premier supplier of private brand tissue to major retailers.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the latter part of 2024. The pool of arrangers and bookrunners comprised BNP Paribas Italian Branch, Banca Nazionale del Lavoro S.p.A., Banco BPM S.p.A., Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. and UniCredit S.p.A.
