White & Case Advises IK Investment Partners on Acquisition of Majority Share in MDT

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised private equity investor IK Investment Partners and its IK VIII Fund on the acquisition of a majority share in MDT technologies GmbH, a leading manufacturer of intelligent building solutions.

The sellers are the founders of MDT and the closing of the transaction is subject to the usual approval by the antitrust authorities.

IK Investment Partners is a Pan-European private equity firm focusing on investments in the Nordics, DACH region, France and the Benelux. Since 1989, IK has raised more than €10 billion in capital and invested in over 130 European companies.

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Stefan Koch (Frankfurt) and included partners Bodo Bender (Frankfurt) and Justus Herrlinger (Hamburg), local partners Jan Ole Eichstädt, Michael Leicht and Tim Bracksieck (all Frankfurt), Lars Petersen and Sebastian Stütze (both Hamburg) and associates Hugo J.
