Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, on a funding round from some of its key global strategic partners with a first closing of US$230 million.
Headquartered in Espoo, Finland, HMD Global Oy is the home of Nokia phones. It designs and markets a range of smartphones and feature phones targeted at a range of consumers and price points, and is the exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand for phones and tablets.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Janko Lindros (Helsinki) and included partners Emmie Jones, Richard Jones (both London) and associates Eerika Halme, Jussi Kukko and Artturi Puoskari (all Helsinki).
