Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Goldman Sachs on its primary and secondary minority investment in Modanisa Elektronik Mağazacılık ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (Modanisa), the Turkey-based online retailer of modest fashion for women in the Muslim world.
White & Case partner Marcus Booth, who co-led the Firm's cross-border and cross-practice deal team, said: "White & Case has a strong and longstanding relationship with Goldman Sachs, and this complex transaction is the latest in a string of successful M&A deals on which we've advised."
Turkey-based Modanisa was launched in 2011 and today serves customers in 130 countries. Its website and app, which are available in Arabic, English, French, German and Turkish, are visited by 16 million people each month and sell more than 650 brands and 70,000 products.
