Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Evercore and the other underwriters on the offering of 2.3 million American Depositary Shares (ADSs) of Piedmont Lithium Limited, a Nasdaq-listed company incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. The aggregate gross proceeds of the public offering, before underwriting discounts and commissions, totaled US$57.5 million.
Piedmont is a pre-revenue-generating lithium company with a project located approximately 25 miles west of Charlotte, North Carolina, in an area that has been described as one of the largest lithium provinces in the world. Piedmont recently signed a five-year lithium sales offtake agreement with Tesla to support its high-nickel batteries.
The White & Case team was led by partners Andrew Weisberg and Oliver Wright, and included associates Scott Levi, Samuel Chan, Xuefeng Wu and Terrel Ferguson, all in New York; and partner Nirangjan Nagarajah and associate Stephen Carlton, both in Melbourne.
