White & Case Advises ECOBAT Technologies on Successful Conclusion of Italian Competition Authority Proceedings in the Scrap Battery Sector

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised ECOBAT Technologies (ECOBAT) in proceedings brought by the Italian Competition Authority (ICA) for an alleged anti-competitive agreement relating to the purchase of scrap batteries.
The proceedings have concluded with no finding of any violation of the antitrust rules by ECOBAT or the issuing of any fines, with ECOBAT and other parties involved making commitments to the ICA.
ECOBAT is a world leader in the production of lead, lead alloys and the recycling of lead batteries.
