Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Swedish renal care services provider Diaverum on its acquisition of Singaporean dialysis clinic chain Advance Renal Care Asia (ARCA) and its subsidiaries, a group engaged in the provision of dialysis services and dialysis centre management services in Singapore and Malaysia.
Diaverum is a leading global renal care service provider and the largest independent provider in Europe, headquartered in Sweden.
ARCA is an independent dialysis clinic chain in Singapore, operating 14 dialysis clinics across Singapore and four in Malaysia.
The acquisition, expected to be completed in Q1 2021 when ARCA will be integrated into the Group, is part of Diaverum's long-term growth strategy to expand in selected, high growth potential markets. This acquisition will serve as the platform for further expansion in the Southeast Asia region, following the opening of Diaverum's first clinics in Mainland China earlier this year.
Måns Olsson, Chief Strategy Officer & Head of MEA at Diaverum, said: "We are grateful for White & Case's expertise and support in executing this key transaction, which has enabled Diaverum to continue its successful expansion, to provide high quality, life-enhancing renal care services to more patients on a global basis."
The White & Case team that advised on the transaction was led by partners Steve Worthington (Abu Dhabi) and Jon Bowden (Singapore), with support from associates Lisa Yeo, John Tan and Si Wei Chua (all Singapore), Sonia Abdul-Rahman (Dubai) and Lauren Vallender (London).
