
White & Case advises co-investors in Blackstone-led group on CDN$7 billion equity investment in Rogers Communications Inc.

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised co-investors in a group led by Blackstone on a CDN$7 billion equity investment in Rogers Communications Inc., Canada's leading communications and entertainment company.
Under the terms of the transaction, Blackstone will acquire a non-controlling interest in a new Canadian subsidiary of Rogers formed to own Rogers' wireless backhaul transport infrastructure in Ontario and Alberta.
Blackstone's co-investors include Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, the Public Sector Pension Investment Board and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by Project Development and Finance partner Nadav Klugman (Chicago), M&A partner Adam Cieply (New York) and Capital Markets partner Andrew Weisberg (New York). The team also included Debt Finance partner Kerrick Seay and counsel Abigail Simon (both in New York) and M&A associate Dilara Erik (New York).
