White & Case advises Barclays and Standard Bank on Motus’ £150 million refinancing

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Barclays Bank PLC and The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited as mandated lead arrangers and sustainability coordinators on a £150 million refinancing of Motus Capital Proprietary Limited (Motus), South Africa's largest automotive retailer.
White & Case partner Jeremy Duffy, who led the Firm's deal team, said: "Our cross-border team advised on a transaction which is tailored to Motus' strategic growth plans, allowing it to boost scale at its various global locations."
Motus is a multi-national provider of automotive mobility solutions and vehicle products and services, with a market leading presence in South Africa and a selected international offering in the UK, Australia, South-East Asia and Southern and East Africa.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Jeremy Duffy (London) and included local partner Alex Cullinan (Johannesburg) and associate Olwethu Gusha (Johannesburg).
