Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised global hearing solutions and services leader Amplifon on two new sustainability-linked credit facilities, both amortizing with a five-year term, for a total amount of €250 million.
Amplifon signed a €200 million credit facility with UniCredit and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) which comprised €100 million from UniCredit to support Amplifon's development initiatives, and €100 million from CDP which co-financed its investments in innovation in Italy. CDP provided additional funds to those granted under a loan signed with the European Investment Bank during 2023.
Additionally, Crédit Agricole Italia, backed by SACE's Garanzia Futuro, financed the international roll-out of Amplifon's new store format for €50 million.
Both financings are linked to specific indicators in Amplifon's Sustainability Plan, the achievement of which will activate a margin adjustment mechanism applied to each individual loan.
The White & Case team that advised on the transaction included partners Michael Immordino (London & Milan) and Stefano Bellani (Milan) and associate Nicola Tosin (Milan).
