Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Asset Management Company S.p.A. (AMCO) on the acquisition of a portfolio of unlikely-to-pay loans (UTPs) from Intesa Sanpaolo for a total amount of €120 million.
AMCO specialises in the management of impaired loans and is a leader in the non-performing exposure (NPE) market in Italy. It is fully owned and controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The White & Case team in Milan that advised on the transaction included partners Gianluca Fanti and Giuseppe Barra Caracciolo and associates Riccardo Verzeletti and Marco Cattani.
