Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Alisarda S.p.A. on the sale of Geasar S.p.A., the company that manages Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport in Sardinia, to Italy's largest independent infrastructure fund manager F2I.
The acquisition will be carried out through F2i Aeroporti 2. which currently controls 71 percent of Sogeaal S.p.A., the managing company of Sardinia's Alghero Airport.
The Alisarda Group was founded in 1963 to connect Olbia, the airport of the Costa Smeralda, with the main Italian and European cities with weekly flights. Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport is the second largest in Sardinia by number of passengers. Passenger growth in the last decade has exceeded the rest of the Italian market, and has significant prospects for further development.
The White & Case team in Milan that advised on the transaction comprised partner Maria Cristina Storchi, local partner Alessandro Seganfreddo, associates Sara Scapin and Adriana Tisi and lawyer Riccardo Viel.
