Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice with the addition of Matthew Barnett as a partner in Los Angeles.

Barnett advises domestic and multinational companies and private equity firms on a wide variety of M&A transactions, as well as securities matters. He has substantial experience advising on major and highly complex public and private acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and joint ventures, with particular expertise in the life sciences, technology and telecommunications sectors. He joins White & Case from Sullivan & Cromwell.

The arrival of Barnett follows the recent relocation of tax partner Andrew Kreisberg to the Firm’s Los Angeles office from New York, and the recent promotions of Los Angeles–based lawyers Christoffer Adler, Aaron Colodny, Julian Lamm, Amara Mullins, Daniel Nussen and Nicole Rodger to partner. The promotions were effective January 1, 2022.
