Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Debt Finance Practice with the addition of Grzegorz Abram as a partner in Warsaw.
"White & Case has been active in Central & Eastern Europe for more than 30 years, and the addition of Grzegorz further strengthens our global finance team and underscores our commitment to the region," said White & Case partner Eric Leicht, Head of the Firm's Global Debt Finance Practice. "His knowledge and experience will bring considerable benefits to White & Case and our clients as we continue our work in the region."
Abram advises clients on various types of international and domestic loan facilities agreements including project finance, acquisition finance, margin lending and complex structured financings. His practice also covers restructuring proceedings and bond issues, including a number of Eurobond programmes for both issuers and arrangers. Abram brings more than 15 years of experience and joins White & Case from Clifford Chance.
"Grzegorz has a wealth of experience advising on a wide range of international and domestic banking, finance, restructuring and debt capital market transactions," said White & Case partner Colin Harley, Regional Section Head, EMEA Banking. "He's a technically excellent lawyer who is held in high regard by his clients, and has strong relationship with banks and other entities that are an exciting fit with our existing global practice."
Partner Oliver Brettle, a member of White & Case's global Executive Committee, said: "A top tier practice in Poland is of fundamental importance to our European offering and the Firm more broadly, as demonstrated by our roles advising Play on the €2.2 billion offer for all its shares by ILIAD, and a syndicate of international and Polish banks on the PLN 5 billion financing of the Polimery Police chemicals project. Banking and financial restructuring are key practice areas for White & Case globally and in Poland, and Grzegorz strengthens the support we offer to clients in the global financial institutions industry in Poland and helps sustain this strategic objective."
