Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Intellectual Property Practice and Technology Industry Group with the addition of Adam Greenfield as a partner in Washington, DC.
"Adam's proven record of accomplishment as a high-technology intellectual property litigator will serve to strengthen our Intellectual Property Practice as we continue to cement White & Case's reputation as a top firm working on complex IP litigation matters for high-profile global technology companies," said Yar Chaikovsky, Head of White & Case's Intellectual Property Practice. "As a high-caliber IP litigator, Adam's arrival further bolsters our Intellectual Property roster in Washington, DC, following the arrivals of IP appellate litigator Mark Davies last month as well as leading ITC practitioner Jordan Coyle and high-stakes litigator Anna Naydonov last year."
Greenfield specializes in complex IP matters, with a focus on litigation and licensing related to electrical and computer technology. He represents both domestic and international clients in disputes before US district courts, the US International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is experienced in multifaceted patent matters complicated by antitrust, false advertising, trade secret or other issues. His representations also frequently involve standard essential patents (SEPs) and fair, reasonable and nondiscriminatory (FRAND) licensing. His clients include global financial institutions and leading companies in automotive, manufacturing, computer networking and consumer electronics.
"Adam brings an in-depth knowledge of the patent space and an impressive background in electrical engineering, as well as prior experience clerking for Judge Kimberly Moore at the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit," said Aalok Sharma, Co-Head of White & Case's Global Technology Industry Group. "His extensive trial experience and track record of success in complex patent litigation for key, high-profile companies across technology sectors greatly adds to our growing Intellectual Property Specialty Group and Global Technology Industry Group,"
Eric Leicht, a member of the Firm's Executive Committee, added: "We are very pleased to welcome Adam to our Intellectual Property Practice in Washington, DC. His unique background in the IP space and his appellate experience adds to our growth in these sectors as the Firm continues to prioritize strategically strengthening our US practices to meet client demand."
Greenfield is the latest addition to White & Case's Intellectual Property Practice that also recently added Yar Chaikovsky, Global Head of the Intellectual Property Practice, with a team of lawyers in the Firm's Silicon Valley office, including Phil Ou, Bruce Yen and David Okano—in addition to Mark Davies, Jordan Coyle and Anna Naydonov in Washington, DC. He joins a number of high-profile arrivals to White & Case across the US so far in 2024, including partners John Cahill, Keith Hallam, Rachel Rodman, Ladan Stewart, David Lim, Nadav Klugman, Peter Berg and Taurie Zeitzer.
