The Destiny of Latin American Investment Disputes

Latin Lawyer published a special feature on the future of investment disputes based on a roundtable led by White & Case Partner and Head of Latin American Arbitration Jonathan C. Hamilton at the Annual Arbitration Summit in Miami, a topic of particular relevance with the pending ratification of the USMCA and other trends in the region. As stated by Hamilton, "investment arbitration is something that is institutionally rooted in governments and how they manage, not only disputes, but also investment in different sectors. International arbitration, including investment arbitration, has become deeply rooted into the way that Latin America does business and the way that governments manage investment and economic development as well."
