Intellectual property (IP) specialist guide Managing Intellectual Property has named White & Case partners Shamita Etienne-Cummings (Washington, DC) and Anita Varma (Boston) to its list of the "Top 250 Women in IP."
The list of the top 250 women IP practitioners recognizes "the leading female IP practitioners in private practice who have performed exceptionally for their clients and firms in the past year," according to Managing Intellectual Property. "During the selection process, we also factored in activities in the IP community and corporate social responsibility initiatives."
The research for determining the Top 250 Women in IP covers contentious and non-contentious IP work and is carried out by an experienced team of research analysts and journalists in Managing Intellectual Property's offices in Hong Kong, London and New York.
