Intellectual Asset Management (IAM), the world's leading intellectual property (IP) business media platform, has named White & Case partners Bijal Vakil (Silicon Valley) and Scott Weingaertner (New York) to its IAM Strategy 300 list.
The Strategy 300 "identifies the individuals who are leading the way in the development and implementation of strategies that maximise the value of IP portfolios," according to IAM. "These world-class IP strategists are primarily identified through confidential nominations made online. However, the extensive research process also involves face-to-face and telephone interviews, as well as email exchanges, with senior members of the global IP community."
Vakil is the founder of White & Case's Taiwan Practice. He has a successful track record litigating complex patent cases in district courts, the International Trade Commission and before the Federal Circuit. Clients also benefit from his experience advising on patent portfolios and assisting with technology licensing agreements.
Weingaertner focuses on the litigation and trial of complex technology and life sciences IP disputes, as well as on related strategy and counseling. He has led teams in high-stakes cases involving medical devices and other life sciences cases, automotive technology, mobile phones, internet search, cable equipment, video games and other cutting-edge technologies.
