Bloomberg Law has named global law firm White & Case LLP to its inaugural class of 15 "Pro Bono Innovators" at its 2022 Pro Bono Innovators awards. Honorees were selected for their outstanding commitment to "pro bono work for the underserved," according to Bloomberg Law.
"In our inaugural issue of Pro Bono Innovators, Bloomberg Law honors White & Case for its work securing a $4.2 billion settlement in litigation challenging New York state Covid-related school budget cuts, and for the firm's representation, of families of children killed in a Venezuela juvenile detention center fire, and other matters," Bloomberg reported in a profile of White & Case.
The White & Case Global Pro Bono Practice, launched in 2010 and building on the firm's 100+ year history of pro bono work, has grown to one of the largest in the world. In 2021 White & Case provided 113,100 hours of free legal services.
