Global law firm White & Case LLP was named "Public M&A Team of the Year" in the UK at the British Legal Awards 2024.

The recognition highlights the Firm's role in advising SigmaRoc plc on its €1 billion reverse takeover of CRH plc's European lime business. This complex transaction involved structuring three linked (but separate) acquisitions across multiple jurisdictions, including Germany, the Czech Republic, Ireland, the UK and Poland.

"We are thrilled to be recognized for our work on this transformative deal for SigmaRoc," said David Lewis, M&A partner at White & Case and lead on the SigmaRoc transaction. "This award is a testament to our team's ability to navigate intricate regulatory landscapes and deliver innovative legal solutions. We thank our clients for their continued trust and collaboration."

Patrick Sarch, Head of UK Public M&A at White & Case, commented, "Our M&A practice is going from strength to strength, and this award reflects the hard work and excellence of our team. We are very busy with a fantastic pipeline of major transactions, and have achieved some great league table positions in 2024. We are therefore excited about 2025 and are building on a diverse and ambitious team with new qualifiers, lateral joiners and the addition of Richard Browne in the new year. It's an exciting time for our M&A team."
