Global law firm White & Case LLP was named "Team of the Year: Project Finance" for the third consecutive year at the 2024 IFLR Americas Awards, presented in New York City on May 15.
The Firm also participated as an advisor in connection with the two following "Deals of the Year":
- Deal of the Year: Project Finance – Feijão wind project
White & Case advised a syndicate of international banks on the US$700 million non-recourse financing of Project Feijão, a 456 MW wind project in Brazil being developed by Macquarie Asset Management's Green Investment Group and Hydro Rein, Norsk Hydro's dedicated company for renewables development.
- Deal of the Year: Equity – Sendas Distribuidora secondary offering
White & Case advised grocery wholesaler Sendas Distribuidora S.A. (Assaí) and Wilkes Participações S.A., a Casino Group investment vehicle, as selling shareholder in a secondary-only public offering of 254 million common shares, including 2.3 million American Depositary Shares evidenced by American Depositary Receipts, at a price of R$16 per share, in a US$768.4 million transaction.
