White & Case Wins “Global Legal Adviser of the Year” and Four IJInvestor Awards

IJInvestor, an infrastructure and energy online news and data service, has named White & Case LLP 2022 "Legal Adviser of the Year – Global" at the publication's IJInvestor Awards 2022, which "celebrate the best funds and M&A activity in the energy and infrastructure markets."

IJInvestor has also recognized four deals White & Case advised on as "Acquisitions of the Year" for 2022, two in the Americas and two in the EMEA region.

The awards, selected by an expert panel of judges from submissions made by law firms summarizing work they performed on transactions that closed in the past year, were presented at the IJInvestor awards dinner on December 7, 2022.

North America

• Renewables & Energy Transition Acquisition of the Year: Blackstone acquisition of a stake in Invenergy Renewables Acquisition – White & Case represented the managing entity of Invenergy Renewables in an agreement for an equity investment from Blackstone Inc.
• Utilities Acquisition of the Year: Centric Infrastructure Group - White & Case represented Ara Partners (as selling shareholder) and Centric Infrastructure Group in connection with the sale of Centric Infrastructure Group

EMEA

• Oil & Gas Acquisition of the Year: Evos acquisition of Oiltanking assets – White & Case represented the lender group in the acquisition debt for Evos' acquisition of Oiltanking GmbH’s 55% stake and the 45% stake held by affiliates of 3i Infrastructure in four additional bulk liquid storage terminals located in the Netherlands (Amsterdam and Terneuzen), Belgium (Ghent) and Malta
• Conventional Power & Grid Infrastructure Acquisition of the Year: West Burton B – White & Case represented EIG in the acquisition of the 1332 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power station and 49 MW battery at West Burton B in Nottinghamshire, England
