Global law firm White & Case LLP has won the "Innovation in Generative AI Strategy" award at this year's FT Innovative Lawyers North America Awards, announced at a ceremony last night in New York.
The award recognizes our generative AI initiative for client matters, which leverages a privately licensed, legally trained language model deployed securely on the Firm's encrypted network. This AI model supports multiple skills that can be refined for use with client work, for example, first draft mark-up clauses that align with specific client needs and preferences.
Lawyers use the model to prepare summaries, translate documents and elicit facts from data sets. The initiative enhances the efficiency of legal services, increases accuracy and consistency, and ensures robust data and client security.
White & Case also ranked second overall on the FT index of Innovative North American Law Firms for 2024.
