Marine Money magazine has named three transactions on which White & Case advised among its 2021 "Deals of the Year," in its annual awards. The transactions will be profiled in the Q1 "Deals of the Year" issue of Marine Money.
The honored deals on which White & Case advised were:
- Export Credit Agency Deal of the Year: Seaspan Corporation $1.7 Billion Korean and Chinese ECA-Covered JOLCO Facilities for 18 x Newbuilding Containerships
- M&A Deal of the Year - Merger: International Seaways Merger with Diamond S Shipping
- Bank Debt Deal of the Year: Genco Shipping & Trading Inc. $450 Million Senior Secured Credit Facility
The awards "recognize the global bankers, financial advisors and legal teams who execute transactions that we believe are exceptional," said Marine Money President Matt McCleery in an announcement. The deals selected for the awards were chosen based on value creation for stakeholders, creativity, overcoming execution challenges, innovation and other criteria.
