M&A Advisor Names White & Case Partner Tali Sealman "M&A Legal Advisor of the Year" for Global Mergers & Acquisitions

The M&A Advisor named White & Case LLP Partner Tali Sealman (Silicon Valley) its "M&A Legal Advisor of the Year" at the 19th Annual M&A Advisor Awards. The awards recognize "standouts of the year, representing the finest deals and professionals within the M&A industry," according to Roger Aguinaldo, Founder of The M&A Advisor.
A Partner in White & Case's Global M&A Practice, Sealman focuses on private and public M&A and general corporate representation of emerging technology and life science companies and venture capital investors. Sealman represents strategic and financial buyers and sellers in public and private acquisitions, and represents companies at all stages of their lifecycle and across a broad range of industries, including software, enterprise, security, digital health, fintech, gaming, and blockchain. Tali is listed as a "Leading Lawyer" for M&A in the United States by Euromoney (2020), and is a frequent author of White & Case thought leadership articles ("US dealmakers expect uptick in M&A, but no swift return to pre-crisis levels," "Technology M&A remains resilient in the face of COVID-19 crisis").
The M&A Advisor also recognized two transactions on which White & Case advised among its "Deals of the Year" in the 2020 awards, conferred for work performed in 2019.

Acquisition of a 70% stake in Saudi Basic Industries Corp by Saudi Aramco
White & Case advised Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) in its US$69.1 billion acquisition of a 70 percent stake in Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC), one of the world's largest chemicals companies, from the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Cross Border Deal of the Year (Over US$1 billion)
Acquisition of Larsen & Toubro Electrical & Automation Division by Schneider Electric
White & Case represented Schneider Electric, a global player in energy management and automation, on its US$2.1 billion (₹14,000 crore) acquisition of Larsen & Toubro Electrical & Automation, and on the subsequent consortium between Schneider Electric and Temasek Holdings Private Ltd., Singapore's Sovereign Wealth Fund.
An independent judging committee comprising top M&A industry experts determined the recipients of the awards.
