Global Antitrust/Competition Chair J. Mark Gidley (Washington, DC) of global law firm White & Case LLP has been named a "2019 Competition MVP" by Law360. This is the second time he has been named a Competition MVP; he was also named a Life Sciences MVP in 2016.
Gidley's work focuses on cartel cases, class actions, pharmaceutical/monopolization antitrust cases, and mergers. He has represented parties in numerous antitrust trials around the world with his colleagues, including against class action claimants, DOJ, FTC, and the ACCC. His cases have created new due process rights in the areas of privacy (dawn raids) and rights of confrontation.
