IFLR has named White & Case partner Erin Hanson (New York), counsel Jessie Baxter (New York), associate Jennifer Ivers (Washington, DC) and associate David Riesenberg (Washington, DC) among the select group of Americas-based "Rising Stars" for work performed in 2020, announced on IFLR.com on January 28. IFLR defines a Rising Star as an associate or of counsel (or recently raised partner) under 40 years old, having up to 15 years professional experience and acting at a partner level.
White & Case is one of only two firms with the most Rising Stars on the 2020 list.
In the Practice Area awards, Hanson was named a Rising Star in the Corporate/M&A category, and Baxter in Private Equity. Riesenberg and Ivers were named Rising Stars in Commercial Arbitration. Riesenberg, Hanson and Ivers were also honored in the Jurisdiction Awards, in the United States category.
The winners of the Rising Star awards are chosen by senior Euromoney editorial staff through an extensive research process. Winners are judged on their professional accomplishments, advocacy and influence within their specialties, and on peer review and referee commentary.
