Global law firm White & Case LLP advised on a transaction that has been named one of four "North American Green/SRI Bond Deals of the Year" at GlobalCapital's Sustainable and Responsible Capital Markets Awards. At the ceremony in Amsterdam on September 17, White & Case was also named Best Green/SRI Finance Law Firm.
In the winning deal, White & Case advised Avangrid, Inc., a sustainable energy and utility company with approximately US$33 billion in assets and operations in 24 states, on the filing of its universal shelf registration statement and registered green bond offering of US$750 million 3.800% notes due 2029.
The Sustainable and Responsible Capital Markets Awards recognize the best achievements in the field of green and socially responsible finance, including green bonds. The awards are decided on the basis of a poll of market participants.
