Overview

Oliver counsels companies on a spectrum of corporate law matters including general assemblies of listed companies. He also advises on matters relating to corporate transactions and mergers and acquisitions, both as a lawyer and as a notary. His practice has a particular focus on the reshaping of group structures and joint ventures, particularly those of major, non-listed companies. He also has considerable, hands-on experience of establishing non-profit organizations founded by companies, as well as of advising their corporate bodies and shareholders on an array of legal issues. Oliver's deep knowledge of corporate law is based on his experience prior to becoming a practicing lawyer, working as a research assistant at the Institute for German and European Corporate and Business Law of the University of Heidelberg. A partner in the Firm's Frankfurt office, Oliver speaks fluent English as well as his native German. He is a member of various professional associations, including the German Lawyer's Association, the Corporate Law Association and the Frankfurt Legal Society. Furthermore, Oliver is Chair of the Frankfurt Chamber of Notaries.

State of Baden-Württemberg in dispute with Deutsche Bahn, 2024
Advised the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg in an action brought by Deutsche Bahn to recover additional costs of the 'Stuttgart 21' (S21) infrastructure project, winning a clear victory in proceedings before Stuttgart Administrative Court.
